The New Zealand under-17 women's football team has beaten the Argentina juniors 1-0 in Buenos Aires.
The Young Football Ferns midfielder Hannah Carlsen scored the game's only goal in the 48th minute when the Argentina goalkeeper couldn't hold fellow midfielder Jasmine Pereira's header.
The victory over a side building for South American qualifiers in Bolivia early next month follows a series win over Australia at home in October and bodes well for the New Zealanders' push towards the FIFA under-17 World Cup in Azerbaijan.
Oceania qualifiers are set for Auckland in April.
