(AP) ? Last year, Adam Scott barely lost the Masters on Sunday. This year, he's working hard not to lose it on Thursday.

The Aussie, still in search of his first major title, teed off into a creek but scrambled to save par on the par-5 second hole to briefly stay at the even mark early on a slow-starting day at Augusta National.

He made bogey on No. 3 to go to 1 over.

Only six birdies had been logged over the first two hours of play, with about a third of the players on the course and making their way through the early stretches of a soft, rain-soaked course.
