Electric MotoCzysz E1pc Is Epic

This is the 2011 MotoCzysz E1pc electric motorcycle in its full glory. It is much more than an update on last year?s bike. It is a big step forward for both MotoCzysz and electric motorcycling.

The latest version of Michael Czysz's electric superbike has less weight, more power and dramatic packaging differences over what was already one of the most advanced motorcycles on the planet.

The frame moves outboard of the battery and is made of carbon fiber instead of aluminum. The suspension, meanwhile, moves inboard with both front and rear shocks mounted under the "tank." The bike is good for 200 horsepower and weighs than 500 pounds, which is a typical weight for most e-bikes.

Look for the E1pc to become the first electric motorcycle to break the 100 mph average lap at the Isle of Man TT when Michael Rutter competes in the TT Zero on Wednesday.
